Limestone, Maine - Wanda N. Edgecomb, 97, wife of the late Vernon A. Edgecomb, passed away Wednesday morning, August 12, 2026, at the Cummings Health Center, Howland, following a period of declining health. She was born May 20, 1929, in Cliffordvale, New Brunswick, the daughter of Leonard Cornelius and Hazel Cora (Stone) Clifford.

Wanda attended grade school in Orntonville, New Brunswick, and was a graduate of Grand Falls (New Brunswick) High School, class of 1946. She was married to Vernon A. Edgecomb, December 29, 1947, and was employed as a school teacher for a period of time in Morrell Siding, New Brunswick.Wanda also worked as a substitute teacher for the Limestone School Department throughout the years as needed. She served as chaplain of the former Limestone Order of the Eastern Star, and held several offices at the former Limestone Grange.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was predeceased by her husband of nearly 73 years, Vernon Edgecomb on December 17, 2020; and one brother, Elwood Clifford. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Brooks and her husband, Douglas, of Fairfax, VA; three sons, Robert Edgecomb and his wife, Diane, Frederick Edgecomb and his wife, Cindy, all of Limestone, and Mark Edgecomb of Fort Fairfield; eight grandchildren, Misty Ann Edgecomb and her husband, Caleb Raynor, of Lake Oswego, OR, Sean Edgecomb and his husband, Cullan Riley, of Norwich, CT, Brian Edgecomb and his wife, Amy, Robert B. Edgecomb and his companion, Sheena Page, Christopher Edgecomb and his wife, Candice, all of Limestone, Andrew Aldwell of Seattle, WA, Alan Aldwell and his wife, Rachel, of Hawaii, and Elizabeth Bucura and her husband, Bogdan, of Marbella, Spain; nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Wanda's wishes, services will be private. Interment will take place at Advent Cemetery, Limestone. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Wanda to Robert A. Frost Memorial Library, 42 Main St., Limestone, ME 04750-1399. Arrangements have been entrusted to Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield.
