Washburn, Maine - Wanda A. Dougal, 67, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the Auburn Hospice House. She was born March 29, 1958, in Mattawamkeag, the daughter of Weyburn and Helen (McEachern) Gary.

Wanda worked for many years in hotel housekeeping at Presque Isle Inn & Convention Center, Presque Isle Budget, and the Red Roof Inn. She was a talented artist and from an early age developed a love for painting and drawing as well as arranging flowers.

She is survived by siblings, Richard Gary and his wife, Tammy, of Presque Isle, Penny Mason and her husband, Jim, of Lisbon, NH; as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Dougal.

There will be no services. Interment will take place at Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery in Caribou. Those who wish to remember Wanda in a special way may make gifts in her memory payable to a charity of choice.
