Woodland, Maine - Viola M. (Lajoie) Doody, "Frenchie," age 88, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Caribou, Maine. She was born May 26, 1937, in Caribou, Maine. She was the daughter of Leo B. Lajoie and Aurora (DesJardins) Lajoie.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl and husband, Mike Wallace, of Woodland; her brother, Joseph Lajoie and sister-in-law, Barbara (Romonko) Lajoie of SC; five grandchildren, Daryl Doody of Gorham, Colleen Dougherty of Limestone, Sarah Connolly of Dresden, Nicole Connolly of NH, and Chad McLaughlin of Caribou; five great-grandchildren; and many special friends. Frenchie was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Doody; son, Larry Doody; grandson, Tyler Doody; and great-grandson, Cotey Doody. She was also predeceased by her sister, Cora (Lajoie) Hodges; brother, Willard Michael Lajoie and sister in-law, Blanche (Martin) Lajoie; and family-in-law, Malen, Jane, Evie, Mike, Gloria, Dana, Ina, and Connie.

There will be no formal services per Frenchie's request. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date in Woodland. Arrangements by Mockler Funeral Home.
