Owl's Head - Steven C. DeWitt, 65, was born July 4, 1953, in Fort Benning, GA, the eldest son of Carl and Betty (Pryor) DeWitt of Houlton.
Steven graduated Houlton High, class of 1971, and attended Ricker College and UMPI. Through his childhood, Steve worked on his Dad's farm helping in the fields and potato house. His later jobs included AVECO Financial Services, Manager of Key Bank in Fort Fairfield, manager of Farm Credit in Houlton for 25 years, and several other financial institutions until his retirement in 2016.
Steven is survived by his son, Nathan of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; daughter, Alicia Studley; son-in-law, Jesse; grandchildren, Mason and Naia of Hampden; his mother; sister, Cindy Floyd (Wayne); brothers, Brent and Randy (Kim), and their son, Jace; and a special aunt, Shirley Ward. Steve was predeceased by his father; and grandparents, Jud and Freda DeWitt; and Randolph and Mame Pryor.
Steve loved going to camp in Forkstown. There he would swap stories, hunt, and fish with his pal, David Brown. He was an avid Red Sox fan, rarely missing a game on T.V. or radio. Steve was looking forward to exploring the west again with is good friend, Dave Keyeser. He was so very proud of his children's successes, Nathan for following his dreams in the golfing industry and Alicia and Jesse's wonderful life with their children. But Steve's greatest joy was watching is grandchildren participating in their many activities.
