Houlton, Maine - Stella Hanning, 69, died unexpectedly June 4, 2025, in Bangor. She was born March 24, 1956, in Lincoln, the daughter of Wendell H. and Margery (Toby) Carll.

Stella loved going "upta camp" in Harvey Siding, where she enjoyed listening to country music, and spending time with family and friends. An excellent cook, her homemade chicken stew was a favorite of any family function. Stella loved dancing, karaoke, hunting, side-by-side rides, yard sailing, watching the cardinals that came to visit her, camping, and attending the annual Back Row Truck Show - where she took hundreds of pictures of attendees and shared them for all to enjoy the memories. She especially enjoyed spending time with her two grandsons.

She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Bruce D. Hanning of Houlton; two daughters, Bobbie Jo (Faulkner) Beaulieu and husband, Brad, of Monticello and Billie Jo Davis and husband, Matthew, of Houlton; two grandsons, Justin Hurlburt of Monticello and Waylon Davis of Houlton; sister, Patty Faulkner of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Vicki Carll; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, special friends; and her loving pet, Tessa Mae. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Danny Toby Sr. and Larry H. Carll; nephew, Larry W. Carll; her three special girls, Kesha, Skye and Suma; and very special friend, Peggy Smith.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday June 11, 2025, at Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park St., Houlton. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Drew Cemetery, Wytopitlock. Those attending are encouraged to meet 9:30 a.m. at Dunn Funeral Home to proceed to the cemetery.
