Presque Isle, Maine - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Reynold H. Daigle; he left us unexpectedly on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the age of 87. He was born on May 9, 1938, in Wallagrass, Maine, to Emile and Bernadette (Saucier) Daigle.
Reynold lived a life filled with kindness, integrity, and love. He was a devoted husband to Priscilla (Deprey) for 59 years, and a proud father to Mark, Glenn, Bruce and Tracy, along with being a cherished friend to many. His warmth, wisdom, and humor touched everyone who knew him. His laugh was contagious to all that heard him.
Although his education was limited at a young age so he could help support his parents family, Reynold was a hardworking man. After his marriage to Priscilla, he moved his family to Presque Isle, Maine, in 1965 and began working for Grants Dairy as a "milkman," then sales for Humpty Dumpty. With his skills, he ventured off on his own by purchasing a franchise of Tom's Food's, as well as the startup of Daigle's Candies. He would spend many nights constructing and selling picnic tables and swings from his front lawn. He so enjoyed his children by his side in the delivery trucks or helping assemble the tables and swings. He instilled in them lessons of hard work, dedication and to follow your dreams. He was a proud man of his accomplishments and will forever be remembered by us as a great teacher, adviser, supporter, and most of all loved by Dad. Reynold was proud of his service to his community by becoming a 4th Degree member, as well as serving as grand knight for the Presque Isle Knights of Columbus.
His joys and love of his life was his wife; he so loved traveling with her, attending weekend dances, or just a nightly poker game with their friends. His devotion was for his children and supporting them to be strong and independent. His pride was his grand and great-grandchildren, he would never miss an opportunity to spend time with them, attend any of their school functions, to attending their birthday parties. They could always hear their Pepiere cheering from the stands of a hockey game. He will be so sadly missed by Sean, Brandon, Kasey, Sara, Derek, Kloe, Alicia, Graiden, Guage, Raynglei, Emma, Eli, Brady, Owen, Marley, Alainah, McKinlee, Rylan and Hudson. He loved his family, he loved the family and friends gathering, and he loved to cook for any occasion, especially Christmas Eve. This was his holiday. Bingo was his entertainment during his later years of his life, if he wasn't home at night he was yelling "BINGO."
His was proceeded in his time on earth by his dear wife, Priscilla; his parents, Emile and Bernadette; two brothers, Richard and Lester Daigle; and brother-in-law, Melvin Godin. He leaves behind his three sisters, Pauline Godin, Carlene Mack, and Betty Roy her husband, Clarence; along with sisters-in-law, Evette Daigle, Katy Daigle, Linda Berube and Deanna Charette; and many nieces and nephews. His children, Mark Daigle (Stephanie), Glenn Daigle (Richalene), Bruce Daigle (Kathy) and Tracy Ayotte (Bernard) will continue on honoring his legacy. Though he will be deeply missed, his family takes comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and they carry with them the blessings he brought into their lives.
