Monticello, Maine - Paul Keith Francis Jr., 81, passed away on August 25, 2026, at Eastern Maine Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Paul was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was also proud to be a member of the Mi'kmaq Nation.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kilda Francis; his son, Dustin Francis, daughter-in-law, Whitney Francis; his grandson, Cody Gola; Cody's wife, Brittany; his great-grandchildren, Oaklee and Stetson; his daughters, Rhonda Youngblood and Nichole Francis; Nichole's fiancé, James Carroll; his sister, Anita Craig and her husband, Bob Craig; his niece, Chala Mortenson, and nephew, Deric Craig. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Queenie Francis and Polycarp "Paul" Francis.

Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing the guitar, and working on vehicles. He had a talent for mechanic work and took pride in fixing things with his hands. He also loved riding his motorcycle as a member of the POW/MIA motorcycle club through the American Legion in Houlton, Maine in his younger years. Family was everything to Paul. He was known for his warm smile, kind spirit, and gentle sense of humor. He had a generous heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Paul also dearly loved his dog, Missy; and his cat, Binx.

A ceremony to honor and celebrate Paul's life will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Jewell Bean Cemetery, 920 U.S. Highway 1, Monticello, ME 04760. Family and friends are welcome to attend and remember him.
