Frenchville, Maine - Norman B. Fortin, "Pepere Hot Wheels," 78, passed away on June 25, 2025, at a Madawaska health care facility. He was born in Edmundston, New Brunswick, on December 28, 1946, the son of the late Arthur and Elaine (Gagne) Fortin.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Caroline (Loukides) Fortin of Frenchville; one son, David Kostyk and his companion, Shelly Dawn Sherren, of Colorado; one stepson, Scott Fongemie of Lewiston; two granddaughters, Lauren of Colorado and Emily of Rumford; one great-grandson, Roy of Colorado; two brothers, Patrick Fortin and his wife, Louisselle, of Madawaska, and Roger Fortin and his wife, Lorraine, of Connecticut; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a large family of brothers and sisters.

In keeping with Norman's wishes, he will be interred at the Caribou Veteran's Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Norm's memory may be made to the DAV, dav.org/ways-to-give or the Wounded Warrior Project, woundedwarriorhomes.org.
