Michael Theriault
Presque Isle - , ME Our beloved Michael "JJ" Theriault, 66, of Presque Isle, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on May 29, 2019 at A.R. Gould Northern Light Hospital with his family by his side.
Born on May 21, 1953, in Edmonston, NB., JJ was the second of four born to Robert Armond and Carmen Rita (Legere) Theriault and attended the Presque Isle School System.
JJ was an extremely hard working man who, at the age of 9, started a job milking cows. He would take the bicycle he shared with his siblings to work each morning and several evenings his father would take the car, load the bicycle in the trunk and carry him home.
As an adult JJ drove truck working for the local teamsters union but his most loved position was with MSAD#1 as a bus driver/custodian. Each morning and afternoon the children who rode JJ's
Bus were greeted with a smiling face, a high five, and a hug. He truly cherished the children on his bus route and protected them as they were his grandchildren.
JJ will be missed terribly by those who knew him, especially the family he leaves behind. In addition to his parents, JJ was previously deceased by his "kid brother" Donald, and his only biological child, Robert Michael Theriault. JJ is survived by his wife of 40 years, Nancy Lee (St. Peter) Theriault, his sister, Lisa Jandreau of Presque Isle, and his younger sister, Carole Olore and husband Tim of Presque Isle. He is also survived by a step-son Jimmy Woods and a step-daughter Tammy Woods of
Caribou along with several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
All are welcome to attend the grave site service to be held at noon at Fairmont Cemetery with a reception following at the Northeastland Hotel on June 15, 2019.
The family would like to express their heart-filled appreciation to those who cared for JJ during
his illness from Northern Light Health Cancer Care Center and Northern Light Health A.R. Gould ICU Staff. Those wishing to remember JJ in a special way may make gifts in his memory to Northern Light Health Cancer Care Center.

JJ was the absolute best bus driver! He was so nice and he'd always give us candy canes around Christmas time and we'd return the favor by giving him my mom's homemade Christmas baking in a tin canister. He was the sweetest man I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. My heart goes out to his family. RIP JJ, you are already severely missed.
