Caribou, Maine - Marguerite M. Cerrato, 75, wife of Jim T. Cerrato, passed away Saturday evening, July 25, 2026, at Cary Medical Center, Caribou, following an extended illness. She was born September 2, 1950, in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, the daughter of Ronald and Sarah (Sade) Ford.

She was a graduate of the Corner Brook (Newfoundland) school system and furthered her education in Ontario, where she earned a master's degree in nursing. Marguerite enjoyed decorating, flower gardening, sightseeing and entertaining, and cherished time spent with her children and family.

She was predeceased by her father, Ronald Ford; and one sister, Rhonda Ford. She is survived by her mother, Sarah Ford of Lower Coverdale, New Brunswick; her husband, Jim T. Cerrato of Caribou; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Janice Ward of Calgary, Alberta, and Jason and Deanna Ward of Pouch Cove, Newfoundland; one sister and brother-in-law, Cynthia and Keith Whalen of Lower Coverdale, New Brunswick; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where the funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. with Fr. Thomas Xaiver, SAC, officiating. Interment will follow at Northern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Caribou.
