Presque Isle - Margaret Angela Johnson Wright went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 8, 2019. She was born in Presque Isle, Maine, on September 5, 1949, to Llewellyn G. and Florence E. (Hussey) Johnson.
She graduated from Presque Isle High School in 1967 and married Eugene Allen Wright on August 3, 1972. She was a lifelong active member of State Street Baptist Church and a special education technician with SAD #1 for 27 years until her retirement.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents and brother, Andrew Garvin Johnson.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years and her children, Angela Marya Wright and Matthew Johnson Wright (Jordyn Madore) of Presque Isle; her stepson, Allen Eugene Wright (Ruth Brownlee), and their children, Emily Ruth, Riley Allen, and Sadie Marie, of Chesterton, Indiana. Her surviving siblings are Alan Johnson (Nancy) of Chittenango, New York; L. Peter Johnson of Woodland, Elizabeth Hoppenrath (Mrs. Harold) of Portland, Texas; Craig Johnson (Glenda) of Savannah, Georgia; Benjamin Johnson (Sally) of Scarborough; and Samuel Johnson (Jeannie) of Bridgewater, Massachusetts. She also had many nieces and nephews and "adopted" family members.
Calling hours will be from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Friday, January 11, at State Street Baptist Church in Presque Isle and a memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 12. Interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery in the spring.
