Madison, Georgia - Roberta "Lynn" Smith, 66, of Madison, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on April 24, 2026. Born July 15, 1959, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, she lived a life marked by deep faith, enduring love, and meaningful connection with others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gregory and Roberta Cousins; and her brother, Mark Cousins. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence "Larry" W. Smith, whom she married December 9, 2006; her children, Shana Johnson, Lindsay Desautels (Jason), Kiel Johnson (Romina), Erin Nessmith (Tyler), and Sarah Clouse (Landon); and her grandchildren, Bryce and Baylee Desautels, Brantley and Aubrey Nessmith, and Jasper (Nina), Brielle, Ezra, Oliver, and Gwenyth Clouse. She is also survived by her siblings, Dale Cousins (Cathy) and Karen Turchyn; and many beloved nephews.

Lynn worked alongside her husband in nuclear medicine for more than 20 years and was deeply involved in her church, where she especially loved serving children through Vacation Bible School. She will be remembered for her radiant smile, joyful spirit, and the way she made others feel seen and loved. Her greatest joy was her family - gathering around the dinner table, camping, traveling, and creating lasting memories. A creative and caring Nana, she shared her love through handmade gifts, special traditions, and time spent with her grandchildren. After a courageous 10-year battle with cancer, Lynn remained steadfast in her faith, living with strength, resilience, and trust in the Lord.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Covenant Park Church in Madison, with visitation at 2:30 p.m. and service at 4 p.m. Interment will be Wednesday, July 29, at Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery in Caribou, Maine. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lynn's memory to Covenant Park Church (VBS Fund) or the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance.
