Houlton - Linda Ann Raymond 70, died Wednesday May 8, 2019 at the Aroostook House of
Comfort in Presque Isle. She was born September 4, 1948 in Houlton, the daughter of Percy and Gertrude (Moulton) Moran.
Linda grew up in Houlton. She was a proud member of the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians. Linda married her husband Tim in 1970 and together they raised two sons. Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone. Her family and friends were her biggest joy in life especially her great grandchildren. Linda was employed for 30 years at the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians. She served on tribal council for 29 years and served on the Housing board of commissioners for many years as well as serving on the TribalCo board, the Maine Indian Tribal State Commission, and Maliseet Investment Group. Linda loved her tribe and was honored to serve it.
In addition to her parents Linda was predeceased by a sister Mary Patricia, and
brothers Percy Jr., Hermon, Phillip, and Christopher.
She is survived by her loving husband Tim, sons Joe Moran, Brian and his wife Tanya Raymond of Houlton, grandchildren Tiffany and husband Justin Smith of Linneus, Cheyenne Raymond, Nick Raymond and friend Skylar, Cody Moran and friend Emily, and Samantha Moran all of Houlton, great grandchildren Aiden, Aubrey, Carter, and Amelia brother Richard Moran of Sacramento California and sister Linda Estabrook of Houlton, and special friend Kevin Moss, Andy Sterns, and Pam Hannigan. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family invites relatives and friends to a Celebration Of Life to be held 1 PM Monday May 13, 2019 at the Maliseet Gymnasium 568 Foxcroft Rd. Houlton. Arrangements in care of Dunn Funeral Home 11 Park St. Houlton, ME 04730. Online condolences may be expressed on the Tribute Wall at:
