Linneus, Maine - Kathryn Joyce "Mimi" McGinnis, 95, passed away on April 8, 2026. She was born on August 30, 1930, in Linneus, the daughter of Carl and Thelma (Adams) Logie.

Kathryn enjoyed crafting, canning the produce from Bink's garden and in her later years, connecting with friends and family on the phone. She was the Boston Post Cane holder for the town of Linneus, and was known as the local historian. Above all, she loved her family most, taking care of them and spending quality time together.

She is survived by her daughter, Carla Stewart and her husband, Joe; her son, James McGinnis and his wife, Dawn; her grandchildren, Matt McGinnis and his wife, Rebecca, Aaron McGinnis, Sarah Stewart, David Stewart, and Dan Stewart and his wife, Shannon; her great-grandchildren, Brynn and Dean Stewart, and Morgan and Emmie McGinnis. Additionally, she is survived by one sister-in-law, Elaine Logie; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Dean "Bink" McGinnis; her siblings, Don and his wife, Joan Logie, John Logie, Marjorie and her husband, Frank Ahlers, and Ruth and her husband, Gail Hall; and one great-granddaughter, Ember Stewart.

Those wishing to honor Kathryn in a special way may donate in her honor to: The Linneus Fire Department or Linneus Free Will Baptist Church.
