Mars Hill - Juanita E. (Beals) Rideout 104 years old, went to be with her Lord on Saturday November 30, 2019. She was born January 14, 1915, in Blaine, the daughter of Lyle and Annie (VanTassell) Beals.
Juanita was educated in Blaine and Mars Hill schools. She married the love of her life Clair Rideout in 1932 and had sixty-six wonderful years together. She was a devoted member of the Mars Hill United Baptist Church since 1937. Mom was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She cherished time spent with family and friends.
She was also a very compassionate person, always wanting to help and share with others. Mom leaves a legacy of her great love for children "We must all help to keep them safe and happy. Do not harm our precious children."
She is survived by three children: a son Richard and his wife Betty, a son Duane, a daughter Debby; eight grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; fourteen great-great grandchildren; three great-great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Clair; a grandson Andrew; a son-in-law Stanley Tilley; three sisters; two brothers; two sister-in-laws; and two brother-in-laws.
We would like to say thank you so much to Shelby Stiles and her staff at Mars Hill. We also give a big thank you to the doctors, RN's and CNA's at TAMC in Presque Isle for the wonderful care they all gave mom. You were there for mom and also for all of us. From the bottom of our hearts we say thank you.
Friends may call 12 Noon Wednesday December 4, 2019 at the Duncan Funeral Home 8 Main Street Mars Hill, where a funeral service will be conducted at 1 PM with the Rev. Mitch Ross and Pastor Lawrence Beals officiating. A committal service will take place at Tapley Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers those who wish to remember Juanita in a special way may make gifts in her memory payable to the Community Cupboard in c/o Carolyn Hallett P.O. Box 232, Mars Hill, ME 04758.

Juanita was an incredible woman loved by all who knew her. She lived a good and very long life. She will be missed.
