Joseph G. Caron Obituary

Caribou, Maine - Joseph G. Caron, 91, died October 31, 2025, at the Caribou Nursing Home after a long illness. He was born June 28, 1934, in Caribou, the son of the late Joseph and Laura (Ouellette) Caron.

He attended Caribou schools and married the late Annette B. Bouchard on June 28, 1956. He was a longtime salesman for Cyr Brothers Meat Packing and known to many as "Little Joe." He loved playing his guitar even in his final days. Music was an important part of his life, and he played for many weddings and events with his band, Three Jacks & a Jill. Joe enjoyed his motorcycles and visiting his brothers and sisters on the Van Buren Road to have coffee and catch up with each one. Family was always most important to him and he truly enjoyed life and lighting up a room with his laughter and spirit. Mr. Caron was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and also attended Sacred Heart. He was a Fourth Degree member of the Fred V. Brescia Council 1870 Knights of Columbus

He is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Rose Caron and one sister, Blanche Bouchard, all of Caribou; his two sons, Joseph A. Caron and wife, Diane, of Brewer, and Ricky A. Caron and wife, Brenda, of St. Albans; five grandchildren, Joseph J. Caron, Ali Caron, Julie-Anne Young, Isaac Bissell, and Annely Ritchie; and five great-grandchildren, Avery and Arlo Caron, Jase Ritchie, and Evan and Ravenna Young. Mr. Caron was predeceased by a son; Randy Caron; five brothers; Louis Caron, Delmar Caron, Patrick Caron, Conrad Caron, and Llewellyn Caron; and three sisters, Virginia Martin, Bernice St. Peter and Pearl Bouchard. The family would like to thank the Caribou Nursing Home for the care and compassion given to their father over the last several years.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Parish of the Precious Blood Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Following the services all are invited to a time of fellowship and refreshments at the parish hall. Arrangements by Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. mocklerfuneralhome.com
