Houlton, Maine - It has been almost three years since we lost Jeanette "Jay" Doris Kilpatrick on November 19, 2023, and heaven gained an angel.

Although time has moved forward, the love, happiness, joy, memories, and wisdom she had shown and shared will always live on. We are so thankful and so grateful to her and for her and for all of the ways her life on this Earth touched and impacted countless lives.

74 years of life, born on Islesboro, Maine, daughter of Jennie and Leroy McCorison, she created a lasting legacy. Her devotion touched her family and inspired the world.

In the story of her life, Jay played the most important roles: a daughter to her parents; a sister to her brothers; a loving wife to her husband, Gene Kilpatrick (married on July 16, 1981); a devoted and supportive guide to her children, Stephanie, Lee, and Erin, and her granddaughter, Justice. She was also a loyal and caring friend and a dedicated employee with an unmatched and incomparable work ethic. Jay brought excellence, passion, and integrity to her role every single day.

Her footprint reached far beyond her home and her job. She led a life full of recipes and cooking, sewing, art, music, books, and a strong love for animals. Words alone could never fully express how much we miss and love you. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
