Lima, OH, Ohio - Herbert Allen Lamoreau Jr., age 88, of Lima, OH, formerly of Presque Isle, ME, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 8:21 p.m. at his son's residence surrounded by family. Herbert was born on June 25, 1937, in Presque Isle, ME, to Herbert Allen and Beatrice (Allen) Lamoreau Sr. who preceded him in death. On June 6, 1956, he married Mary E. (Tompkins) Lamoreau who survives in Lima, OH.

In addition to his wife, Herbert is survived by his son, Stephen E. (Katharine) Lamoreau of Lima, OH; daughter, Linda (Jeffrey) Tibbitts of Front Royal, VA; his grandchildren, Jessica (Michelle) Spriggs, Rebekah (Matthew) Tibbitts Blackmon, Cecelia Lamoreau of Falls Church, VA, Katelyn (David) Andrews, Jennifer (William) DeRose and Stephanie Lamoreau; sisters, Norma (Larry-d) Berry of Cedartown, GA, and Diane (Gary) Capen of Apache Junction, AZ. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Allen "AJ" Lamoreau; siblings, Nina Coffin, Joyce (Darrel) Vasey, Jean (Emory) Deaton, Heber Lamoreau; and an infant brother, Russell L. Lamoreau.

Herbert attended Presque Isle High School in Presque Isle, ME. He worked his entire life on the family farm until he retired and moved to Ohio to live with his son. Herbert loved to travel with his wife. They traveled all over the U.S. in their RV, but loved wintering in Gulf Shores, AL.

There will be a private graveside service held in Gethsemani Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society for cancer research. Condolences may be expressed to the family at chiles-lamanfh.com.
