Houlton, Maine - Dorothy E. (Buxton) Keaton, 79, passed away peacefully with her family by her side February 11, 2026, in Presque Isle. She was born November 12, 1946, in Houlton, the daughter of Willard and Dorothy (Ireland) Buxton.

Dorothy worked as a machinist for Smith & Wesson for many years. She loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. She was also an avid reader, knitter, and crocheter. She loved animals, and had a special bond with all of her pets.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ernest E. Keaton Sr.; and brother, Bill Buxton. Dorothy is survived by her children, Ernest Keaton Jr. and girlfriend, Carla Sholler, and Rebecca Cross and husband, Wayne; sister, Sheila McKay; niece, Rhonda Blanchette; grandchildren, Owen, Wendel, and Amber; and great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Adrianna.
