CARIBOU - Sunday, July 14, 2019, Cynthia L. (Delong) Tracy, 75, stopped searching for an earthly home and entered her eternal home in Heaven. As with most every Sunday after church, she enjoyed spending time with her sister Barb Tapley, and other friends in Mars Hill. After a wonderful meal and always great dessert she asked the ladies to pray because she was not feeling well. As they prayed, Jesus was beckoning her home. They tried to revive her, but Jesus said "Cynthia, the home that you have been waiting for is ready for you to move in."
Cynthia was her father's daughter always working with wood in some form or fashion. Her and her sister Barb could be found cutting down trees (by hand), enjoying a fire or two. Cynthia always had some kind of wood project going. In the day, she was known for her "rolls" and her delicious food. But her favorite thing to do was to talk about God. She loved having fellowship with Christian people. She had a heart of gold and such a welcoming spirit no one could escape her hugs and her genuine smile.
Cynthia spent her career in Banking. She began as a bookkeeper, then went downstairs to become a proof operator, and finally a teller. She was great with numbers.
After years of dialysis, Cynthia was granted a new life on July 9, 2001. Her kidney transplant changed her life, and for the first time she was able to hold her new granddaughter, Olivia.
Cynthia was predeceased by her parents Mearl J. Delong and Frances A. (McNinch) Delong. Her sister Carol (Deanie) Cote, and her former husband Herman (Sonny) Tracy. She is survived by her sister Sheila (Pete) Barnes and family of Kentucky, her sister Barbra Tapley and family of Mars Hill, and the family of her sister Carol Cote of Kentucky, New Jersey, and Maine. Her children, Carla (Tracy) Picard, husband Bryan Picard, Olivia and Brandon of Caribou, and Kurt Tracy, fiancé Lynn Beaulieu of Madawaska, Seth Tracy of Caribou, Ethan Tracy of Madras, Oregon, and Felicity (Haywood) Chavez and family also of Madras, Oregon.
A Celebration of Life will be Friday, July 19, 2019 at Celebration Center 170 Houlton Rd. Fort Fairfield, ME. Calling hours are from 1-3 and her service at 3:00. Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home of Caribou officiating, memories and condolences may be shared at
