Houlton, Maine - Beatrice "Bea" M. Steeves, 92, passed away peacefully December 28, 2025. She was born July 12, 1933, in Houlton, the daughter of Cecil and Nellie (Green) Barton.

Beatrice grew up in Houlton, graduated high school and found the love of her life, John Steeves. They were married 67 years before he passed. Together, John and Bea raised five children. Bea loved her family and loved traveling the country and Canada with them in one of their many campers. Bea and John enjoyed traveling and visiting family in NB, PEI, and ON, as well as CT, MA, and OK. Beatrice was a wife and homemaker, who took care of children in her home for many years. She enjoyed embroidery and completed several projects that she would share with her family and friends. Bea and John would play cards such as cribbage, Michigan Rummy, and phase 10. She also had many word search and activity books as well as reading books that occupied her time. She enjoyed the years she spent at Lee Apartments, and missed her friends there when she spent time in Augusta, and Gloucester, MA.

Beatrice is survived by her children, Susan and Mike Pattershall (Augusta), Mike and Cheryl Steeves (Danforth), Pamela and Dean Sidell (Gloucester, MA) and Sandi and Tim Morris (Houlton); grandchildren, Jen and John Tabor, Michael and Elizabeth Pattershall, Wendy Caron and Robert Gauthier, Andrea Caron and Ben Dietrich, Tabitha and Sam Potera, Christopher Steeves, Matt and Donni Steeves, Andiana Sidell and Corey Robbins, Drew Sidell and Meghan McDaid, Daniel and Olivia Sidell, Micaiah and Kyle Ludell, and Lindsay and Eric Larrabee; and 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Bob Barton. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Randy; husband, John; great-grandson, Cole; and her daughter, Elaine.
