Houlton and Palmyra - Allen G. LeFay Allen G. LeFay (Twitchy), 71 passed away on February 19, 2019 at Gardiner Healthcare in Houlton. Allen was born in Houlton on July 21, 1947 to Ted and Bernice (Laing) LeFay. He was a 1966 graduate of Houlton High School. After high school, he was drafted into the U.S. Army, spending two years stationed in Viet Nam.

Allen spent many years as a long haul driver and then as a CDL instructor at the S.A.V.E. building in Houlton.

Allen is survived by his father, Ted , of Houlton, wife Cheryl of Palmyra, sister Cathy (Jim) Seitz of Bullhead City, AZ, grandsons, Teddy LeFay of Portland and Josh Parks of Vancouver, BC, special Aunt Sonya( Jack) Palmer of Hermon, uncle Leslie (Nelly) LeFay of Oakfield, two cousins, who were like sisters to him, Nancy (Tom) Duff of Houlton and Susan(Brent) Cullen of Patten. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and two close friends, Eva Brown of Houlton and Larry McIntire of Presque Isle.

He was predeceased by his beloved mother, Bernice, infant sister, Sharon , cousin, who was like a brother to him, Larry Laing and many extended family members. His lifelong friend, Bob Margeson, decided to join him,passing away less than 24 hours after Allen.

There will be a graveside service sometime in the summer of 2019 followed by a celebration of his life.

The family would like to thank the staff of Gardiner Healthcare, VNA Hospice and Dr. Hassan Abouleish for the wonderful end of life care he received.

Allen you was like a father to me, I will always be encouraged from the words of wisdom you passed along to me, I will do my best to follow three with our goals and the inspiration you gave me.
