Colleen Clair Dunn Martin "Codgie"

It is with great sadness that the family of Colleen Clair Dunn Martin "Codgie" announces her passing at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, with her family by her side, Friday, January 25, 2019, at the age of 81. She was born in Patten on August 3, 1937, to the late George and Madeline (Albert) Dunn. She was the youngest of four daughters, and preceded by two sisters, Ruth (Dunn) Palmer, and Louise (Dunn) Fogg and her brother-in-law, Micky Fogg.
Colleen attended schools in Patten and graduated from Patten Academy, class of 1955. Colleen returned to Patten with her young family. She purchased a home and raised her children there until each one graduated from high school. She then returned to Connecticut, where she enrolled in a cosmetologist and beautician school. Here she received her state certificate and worked for a few years. She returned to Patten, where she established her own business, Codgie's Hairport. This is where she spent her days, until retiring six years ago. Colleen has left her family with fond memories, such as camping at South Branch Pond, boating trips, spending the summer at Aunt Anne's Camp at Shin Pond, taking rides looking for moose, traveling to the ocean, family get togethers, holiday meals, bonfires in the backyard, toasting marshmallows and hot dogs and just gathering together and being happy. Mum always said, "Move over, we always have room for one more."
Colleen is survived by three children, Cindy (Jeff) Lawler, Chuck (Lorri) Martin and Lisa Bouchard (and partner, Fred Cyr). She also leaves her sister, Lorraine Glenn "Pinky" or "Dee Dee" from North Haven, CT. Colleen, "Mammie" will be fondly remembered by her seven grandchildren, Chuck and Colleen Garton, Emily (Ben) Walker, Lindsey and Logan Bouchard, Shana (Josh) Chovaz, and Maria Martin. Her five great-grandchildren will always remember "Mammie" to the moon and back with love. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews and "special friend", Cora Savage, who was just one of many.
